We are continuing to deploy upstream security patches across our hosting platforms. Please note that in some cases, vendors backported these urgent fixes to the current version, meaning the PHP version number may not have changed. You can confirm the patch status by checking the output of phpinfo() - the build date will display as Oct 21st. Please review the updated guidance below for your specific environment. cPanel/Plesk shared hosting customers and managed cPanel/Plesk servers: Patches are being rolled out by our team for all PHP versions from 5.2 and above. You do not need to take any action. If you use PHP 8.3 or older on any of your websites: We strongly recommend you update to use a version of PHP that is currently supported, which is currently 8.4+. Enhance/Control panel customers: Patches are installed for all versions, from PHP7.4+. Please note the panel does not support older versions. As this is a newer platform, all websites default to at least PHP 8.2, which is patched. Self-managed servers: If you operate your own VPS, please ensure you have applied all vendor updates. If you use Cloudlinux you can verify package updates via the RPM changelog: rpm -q --changelog alt-php85-common | grep CVE-2026 - CVE-2026-109618: do not bail out from inside the memory manager; allocation - CVE-2026-109619: clear stale request globals at shutdown so a bailout cannot If you use cPanel with ea-php (ie, you do not run Cloudlinux), please ensure you have applied the latest EasyApache updates listed at https://docs.cpanel.net/changelogs/easyapache-4-change-log-25/ If you use a different operating system, please check with your vendor.
